Oops, thought you knew that Keith! It's one of the ones Revell have re-released under their 'Classics' banner. It's basic, as i think i mentioned, but it can turn out to be a nice model; just a pity about the wheels, but they don't look too bad when painted and weathered a bit.
Vic, no problem mate. I'll e-mail some to you when I start scanning the stuff for Dwight, probably late Sunday (UK time). Is there anything else, specifically, you think you might need for the F3 in the way of detail shots, apart from the cockpits and, I presume, the ejection seats?
BTW, small world! We might even have bumped into each other at either of those 'fields! If you remember the security procedures for visitors at W, where you had to be escorted from the gate house - well, I got so well known, that on some (rare) occassions, they let me wander over to the particular departments I was visiting unescorted - apart from the day they rolled out the (then) EAP, which became the Typhoon II of course. Security that day was so tight, I believe some of my old lot were 'cammed up' around the perimeter!! Still got the EAP tie, badge and car sticker - but I ate the cake!!

Thanks Terry

Couldn't remember
It's a dark green kit:?:. antway it get's me building again :D:D:D

First up will be the spit which will be going into the MTO GB ( said he hopefully  )
to replace the icm kit i messed up.

Ah heck! It's still the old dark green palstic, I thought they might have used light grey this time around, like most of their re-releases!
Just take your time with the Spit Keith, and you'll do fine mate.

Thanks Terry, that will be great. Was thinking of having a go at the forward and rear flaps on my third build and have some reasonable info shots, but anything in that region would be great.
I was lucky with Warton, having a pass but this was in the development days of the Tornado and full production of the Jaguar. The BA 146 was also under test about the time of my second stint in the late 70s.
:hotsun: :hotsun:

Ah, a bit earlier than me then. My involvement was from the early 1980's. Tornado was running down, and the EAP /Eurofighter in prototype development stage, although Ii vaguely remember a couple of Jags still being there, probably for refurb. It's just been announced that BAe Woodford (was AVRO, where the main Lancaster plant was), which is just down the road from me, is closing! The last stuff there was Nimrod and the BAe146. A sad loss, and a blow to jobs for the local people.
I'll dig out some flap stuff as well, and the thrust reversing buckets too. Should have it sorted by Sunday night - or Monday morning your time!

Vic,

I just updated the picture, see if it shows up now please.

Are you building the Tornado F3 in 1/72?

She's there KG, good one.
No, I'm a 1:48 man and have just posted the first of three Tornado builds:

The second I hope to photo trail the build and started it today

Love the Tornado. I just saw a YouTube review of the Revell Gr1. The detail on the kit is awesome and there's a monstrous sprue JUST for weapon stores!

From what I could see, there are decals for two birds in the kit. One is a grey/green color scheme and couldn't make out the other.

Sorry! But I couldn't help myself....not for this price $20.50 approximately £12.86....8)

Picked up a bargain today. Saw this in the window of a 'charity shop' - a brand new kit, at well under half the normal retail price too!!
It'll eventually be done as either an all yellow Harvard from Boscombe Down in the late 1980's, used for photographing parachute trials, among other things, or a an ex French aircraft, one of 50 captured and used by the Luftwaffe as a trainer at Gottingen, coded DR + XD, Red 6, again yellow overall.

If I had a vote I'd say "Go for the Captured German" look. I like doing those. I already did a P-51 Mustang and I have another Mig 3 destined for the German scheme

Nice one Luck, is the kit complete with enhancement parts and what a camouflage, you could have fun doing that
:hotsun: :hotsun:
It's still in its factory wrap. Snapped it up in ebay from good ol' US of A.... With shipping and all $42.50.

Oh, don't be sorry Jan good buy mate!:D

Happy with you could say Wayne. Now I need to finish the Udo's 88C-6 Zerstorer and do this A-4 as Baumbach's machine in Norway, lots of ships on that tail!

Guess what! I had a look in the '87D-5 box and it has A and B....just need to trim the A down ever so slightly and I can finish off my '219! 8)

Now now - there's plenty to go around. I bought the SM 82 (and the Tornado and Apache) from scale hobbyist

Scalehobbyist.com: Sm.82 Marsupiale by Italeri Models

it was 39$ marked down from 59$

but you can also get it from these shops:

Tower Hobbies for 43$

Sprue Brothers for 48$

Circle C Hobby for 39-40$ Be careful of these guys - they seemingly have good prices but their shipping charges were OUTRAGEOUS. What I saved on shipping by buying from scale hobbyist paid for the Apache!

And of course Squadron has it for 53$

There are a ton of them listed on google. Just put SM 82 Marsupiale into google search and hit "shopping" There were 3 pages of retailers and e-bay listings for that plane. :D

Thanks!!
