Revell 1/48 P-51B/C Mustang

I went ahead and started this kit its simple but the detail dont seem to bad.

Good stuff so far. The old Monogram/Revell kit still stands up well today, and was the best in any scale in it's time - built a few over the last 30+ years !

If I recall correctly, the dihedral is tough to get right as the upper wing halves fit too tight. Recommend dry fitting and removing material as needed. Great work so far.

It is more right than wrong,though not perfect.
I have one unbuilt,but it won't be hard to put together!

Ah, good old Monogram, I was so glad when Revell started re-issuing the classics!

When this was re-issued, they updated the interior. Much better kit now than when first issued. Would much rather buy a Revell/Monogram kit than most of the over priced competitors. Nice work on the pit.

The interior looks the same as the one I built in the early 1980s, unless there's something not yet added in the posted pics.

Much of the molding is the same,but the instrument panel decal is replaced by a nicely molded panel. That was added when things were changed to Pro modeler.

and the landing gear and tires as you can see injection marks.

Thanks Geo I will be doing as Tex hill as the box art so I wont be using the checkers.
