ok as promised some shots from my holiday in Lanzarote.
starting with me and the wife in the Rubicon Marina, followed by my Daughter and I on a lava outcrop, then some of the many volcano's that make up the island, these three pics are of the centre of an extinct volcano that has been eroded into the sea.
some of the volcano pictures were taken through the windows of the tour bus we were on.

Nice pics Karl. Just looking at Lanzarote on Google Earth and it's costal area looks very similar to the coast around Sorrento where they only have rock or very coarse sand for beaches. As for the volcano country, it reminds me of my time in Aden in the old Colonial days. Trust it was a fun holiday.

Dave they actually tested the moon buggy in some areas of the island we were told !
Vic, Lanzarote has beaches of white, brown, black sand depending where you are on the island
ok now some locals enjoying the apartments pool !
and a couple of the local bay, Playa Blanca
