I made casts from the original bezels, paid someone to cut glass, Geedee marked out and cut wood blanks, bought screws from a eng shop....photographed Geedee's original instruments and voila!!!

Stunning stuff guys! I may have to look at doing a '51 panel next.

Or I could do a full cockpit, yeah, like big ...and I've already got a Trim Wheel and I could put it in the lounge room and , and ...Bwaaahaaahaaaaaaa

P-51D stick is ready! The column is from a locally based USAAC P-51D that must have been liberated at the end of the war. The guy I got it from was going to cut it up to fit on a microlight!!

Many thanx chaps...it will be a slow project...sorry! However, got a few nice bits the other day! Nothing recognisabe, but all stepping stones to the complete fuselage.

Nice work on teh instruments particularly. Resin castings mate?
Top stuff.

Whilst the instrument panel is new and 21st century....the majority of the rest is WW2 and Mustang. I will post a few photos of the detail items as and when I can. This project will be slower than the Spit so please bare with me!! If any modeller or enthusiast would like specific detailed pix....just let me know....

Nice work on the cockpits. Not many cockpit collectors here in the states. If you can't save the whole plane, save what you can. I'll be working on a B-17 waist section when I get home. Nice Phantom in the pic. If he needs something to escort, I have a Skyhawk for sale!

A piece of Skyhawk. From in front of the windsheild to the factory break where the tail attaches, No tail or wings. Cockpit is pretty stripped, a few misc. fairings.

Hmm! That would look good at 'Cockpit Fest' next year ! Now, where can I find a lot of thousands of Dollars to buy it, get it here to the UK, and store it? Where's that slab of PE4, I know of a bank vault nearby ......... ?!!!
