This collection of photos, paintings and narrative document the first summer and winter of Barbarossa (June - January) from the standpoint of German Mountain Troops driving through the Ukraine. The narrative is propaganda ..... but ... German, not Nazi, propaganda (except the very ending). Germans have had a long history as colonists in the Ukraine and other regions ..... and these troops are witnessing the aftermath of Stalin's Red Machine in the Ukraine. Terrific insight:
