This is just a personal thread for a member in danger. I won't let this escalate into a discussion about the right or wrong of the attack(s).
I would like to extent my words above to any other member here, who are living in areas of war, so people in the Ukraine and also if we have any members in Israel or other threatened areas.

Timing is hopeful, as Artesh returned to us after finishing an army call up. I hope he will stay safe and I regret the casualties among those who would wish to have a Persian government.

We have had what appears to be a "lone wolf" terror attack in Texas. He is dead.

I lived in Iran for four years, and this war pains me because the Iranian people were so damned friendly to us. It pains me that they've lived under repression for another five decades after we left, and it pains me that many Iranians, such as our friend
ARTESH, who object to their government, are at risk.But I agree with you that like any military man, I will advance to the sound of guns and do my best to quell the threat. I don't carry, but no matter; I don't care, either. No gunman can deliver what wasn't promised to me the moment I started breathing anyway. I won't be shot in the back.
Anything is a weapon if you have tactical understanding.

My best wishes for him and his comrades. My son got home on leave in Jan and promptly broke his arm in a car-wreck. I was worried when he was in hospital, but now I kinda got to liking him having his arm still in a cast. He's aiming a desk for the time being.
Again -- may your son and all others stay as safe as possible.

I have served in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Iraq during my years in the military. My complaint is with leaders and not the common citizens.
