We brought home a plant from My Dads funereal in the summer of 2000 and have had it in in a shelf in the bathroom all these years and it has never bloomed. Then suddenly this morning I noticed three blooms on it so I thought I'd take some pictures. Don't even know what type of a plant it is, but it has survived very well ten years of very low light neglect.

Glenn, your ten year old plant is a Peace Lilly. My mom has one. I think she's actually on her third or fourth one. I will have to let her know your secret to keeping them alive. Nice shots to sir.:thumbright:

Thanks Aaron, I'll tell my wife. A couple of the blooms opened up yesterday and look very unusual. I'll have to take a picture of them and post it.

Here's the pictures of the blooms. Never seen any thing like it before. I might try to take some other pictures with a different color background. White on white isn't to awfully interesting

Wow. sorry Glenn, been a bit way behind on threads here latetly and am just catching up. You've got got some stunning shots here. The pics with the Marines (?) sent a chill running up and down my back !.

And I concure with Aaron, thats a Peace lily OK. The flower part should last quite a while as we one kicking around here somewhere.

Keep 'em coming dude !.

The forecast for today was sunny so I brought my DSLR to work and took some shots. Its the reconstruction of the Wacker Drive/Congress Parkway Interchange just to the south of Chicago's downtown. A lot of major sewer, tunnel, and draw bridge work going on

During the day they opened all the bridges along the Chicago River to let the sailboats go from their winter storage boat yards along the river out to Lake Michigan. It only happens a few times in the spring and then again in the fall when the boats return for storage.
