I used the cockpit and the seat of the old Revell. Hasegawas multimedia kit offered no improvement over their earlier FW190A parts.

Time to do the front of the engine, namely the supports of the coolant-radiator and the foremost ring. I could have detailed them a bit more but when this big jumo-prop is mounted you will see not so much.

This slotted part was very hard to build. I gave it three trials and ended up with this. I'm not too happy with it but I couldn't do better.

Now it was time to do the cowlflaps. I'm not too satisfied with the result. I leaf the cowl detachable to come back some day and do better ones.

The cowl got some paint to evaluate its fit. In the background you can see a green bottle which contains the most important means for the serious modeller. "Jever Pils" a very good bitter beer to calm the nerves.

The filler I spray from time to time does not last long. There is always the need to sand again.
