Some great stuff there of some amazing individuals. Some of the comments were pretty effed up. After I read a few of the comments that were clearly written by fools, I realized that the stories above those comments were about men that the comment posters will never be half of and left it at that.

Those 10 guys were incredibly brave, and in a lot of cases, incredibly lucky. To run through a hail of bullets to take out emplacements or drag your buddy back is noble and brave, but you have to wonder how many tried the same thing and were cut down quickly.

Here's to the ones that had the meddle and the nerve to get through some harrowing experiences that hopefully none of us will ever have to see.

I have a book at home by Max Arthur called "Profiles of Courage." It discusses all of the VC citations from the Crimean War to the Present Day. I can look for it next time I go home.
