This is the old train station at White Top on the Creeper Trail / Ex-Norfolk and Western branch line. The railbed was where the gravel path is in front of the station. Just some history.

Well guys it seems that theres not much call for UK Diesel loco's so heres mine and was taken in the United Kingdom at Shirebrook and was a Colliery Locomotive and in the back ground is Shirebrook Colliery which was one of the best pits in the UK, sadly now closed like the rest of the mines in the UK.[i worked there]

Got to love the Abingdon Branch and the "Creeper".....have it on VHS back in Sweden, on one of four N&W tapes....8)

Midland Railways 4-4-0 Engine, Shirebrook Train Station 1930.

Clayton BoBo, Under Ground coal mine Loco, i was the 'Guard' for these babies at Shirebrook Colliery.[all electric]
