Holy Smokes! Where is (or was) that?
Beautiful pictures. My first job after WWII was a telegraph operator with the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O). I love to hear a train whistle today. Have many fond memories. I worked in the control tower at Wellsboro, Indiana controlling the crossing, B&O(double track), Grand Trunk(double track) and Pierre Marquette(single track). We ran an average of 25-30 trains in an eight hour shift. Sixty seven manual levers controlled the crossing. Thinking back, this was the best job of my career.Enjoy. Add any of yours.
