Well here we are at last on the Bayou, so in just four weeks we have travelled mostly by bus all the way from Green Gables on Prince Edward Island to the Bayou's of the Mississippi.
Thanks Dave, I've not seen many 'salties', mostly only in captivity though quite a few up on the Daintree River area but thank goodness we don't have them in this neck of the woods, just snakes, spiders and heaps of Roos.
Strange you should mention banjo music Erik for we were told that this shack was used in the film Deliverance and that much of the filming for the movie was was at this very location.
Hi folks, yes it is me again and thanks to you all for your continued patronage. Today I wind up the American tour, finishing up with a last tribute to New Orleans and what better way to do it than to view the magnificent St. Louis Cathedral Basilica and the view one of the things New Orleans is famed for, that corner 'Jam' session.
From here we took the early morning AMTRAK from New Orleans all the way to Newark, New Jersey, arriving early afternoon the next day. This is where we continued the next stage of our journey across the Atlantic……………..
