He He!! But Harrison is right, that's all it is, just discs of clear plastic, or sometimes the modeller gives them a thin, sprayed coat of a very light grey or similar, to simulate the blur of the prop disc.

great! I may or may not go with the prop discs cos usually props are virtually invisible to the naked eye when they're spinning like that. I may just leave them be.

wow, looks like a lot of work. i don't even own half of those supplies. thank god it's back to school time I'll probably be able to get a protractor like that and a circle cutter

I've just applied a flat white to the B314 and glued the engines on. I'm really excited to see this bird finished. hehe

Great stuff on the prop discs H ! Remember though, the 'blur' of the individual blades is not normally seen, and is a feature often mistakenly included in artist's paintings, even from the top artists. The only time you will normally see a 'motionless' blur of a blade is in a photograph, as the shutter speed of the camera has partly 'frozen' the action. If any form of 'movement' is needed, it's better to make the disc from either a tinted clear plastic, or, as already mentioned, give the clear disc a thin wash to give the impression of a moving disc.
I have to say though, that the results shown are very good, if accepted as that millisecond in time.

here's my progress pics on the B314!

heh thanks, guys. I have to mask the entire bottom of the plane including the wings and part of the fuselage. then I'm going to apply a coat of sea blue to the top ans part of the fuselage. once that's done, I have to apply a coat of intermediate blue. but I'll have to either order it online or from the hobbystore 20 miles away from me. can't get it from the hobbystore here cos it closed down. which really sucks :(

Obama's visit got me working on my B314 again. I masked off the no-paint areas and I'm gonna apply the sea blue tomorrow
