Finished work early yesterday and sat down to look at my Sherman firefly kit.
Well 5 hours later.

Painted panels etc are just where i used up excess paint from doing the lower hull and wheels etc.

These are just resting in place for the pics and I'll be painting them before its all joined up permanently!

Nice Karl. I've got a mostly complete M48 Patton, stalled out in the 90s. I think it was due to a short shot piece. Might have to dig it out and have a look

Had a shufti through the kit and couldn't find out why it stopped but I'm pretty sure it was a short shot part on the drive system. Knowing what I know now, I can probably fix it.....if I can find it

Thanks Don. Went through the kit twice yesterday and still can't figure out why I stopped, third time lucky

Got it painted.

I had previously scratched up a storage bin that Firefly's seemed to carry, either front or rear.
I chose to fit mine to the rear.

I also fitted a sheld between the track sponsons used to carry extra bits crews needed.
