This is a beast of an engine, fantastic work Wayne and Bruce, the milk crate is for the "Gaffer" to sit on while he is tinkering!!
 
Looking good Wayne. What's that milk crate doing in the assembly drawing?

being an Aussie Bird it should be a Beer Keg! :)

Now here is the 2 sections of Engine push-fitted together, they will be painted separately to get into all the tight places!

It really is a nicely produced merlin. Don't forget the tappet clearances are .0025 .........

Bruce, was way out....the engine Assembly from tip to tip is 70mm!!

Here is a shot of the rear section containing a small nut for screwing the whole engine assembly to the firewall.

The 2 small grey grommets are for the pushfit of either the air filter assembly, if you want it open from the bottom or rear fit of the lower cowling assembly!
