Today's project: blocks for holdings the wings in place while installing the interplane struts. With these in place, struts can be lined up and set without the weight of the wings affecting them.

pic 1 - cut-out piece of the plans used to get the proper angles
pics 2 3 - band saw cuts being made. This is a VERY handy tool for scratchbuilders.
pic 4 - blocks have been sanded to the proper size and shape.

The wing struts on this airplane are very close to the leading edge. I will be able to glue them in place right up against the blocks, then slide the blocks out after the glue has set.
