Great work, and the brass mesh has answered a question I've been asking myself for some time - how to make a 1/48th scale wicker seat for a WW1 model. Thanks!

Final assembly. Wheels will definitely need to be re-done. It was my first attempt at this and I learned a lot. The only reason they are on there now, I have a local model club meeting Sat at 1:00 and this is my entree.

Interior close-up. Real pleased with how the interior came out.

All that's left is the wing rigging and the rudder.

Two things SWEET about this build:

1. NO DECALS
2. NO CLEAR PARTS

Man that's coming together fast!! Looking good!

The strange thing is, I've been wanting to build this airplane since I first saw a picture of it 25 years ago. Just two weeks ago I ran across an article from an EAA chapter in Des Moines that is trying to build a full size replica. They posted a CG drawing of their plans and that was the 'missing link'. I began the build Sunday night and have been obsessed with it ever since. It has been going along so smoothly It's scary, especially for ME. I always Jack several things up. Probably just jinxed myself be writing that.

All finished but the wing rigging, tried three times overnight and jacked it up all three. Going to take it to the local club meeting without that part.

Congrats Mate. Looking very nice and the prize is deserved fully.:thumbright:

While trying to come up with a way to rig the warp wires for the wing I snapped one off. not that big of a deal but still a set-back.

First pic is how I lined up 6 strands of line to glue to the post on the top of the model.

Second pic my 'broke' pic.

Hopefully the next post will be the finished product.

Finally pleased with the wing warp rigging after 4 major tries. Try to get 8 strands mounted to a single 1/48th post sometime !!
