Here are some pics of my almost completed Hasegawa 1/72 scale P-47D razorback. The decals are a combination of the kit's and ones from the Academy kit of the same scale. Word of warning: don't use the Academy decals unless you have something like CHAMP or Mr. Mark Softer, as they don't snuggle.... at all.
Anyway, hope you like the build. It's a pretty decent kit....
I nearly threw it away because a) I didn't like my paint job; b) I just about melted my prop into a blob while holding it to a floodlight to dry the glue, after breaking the mount. Luckily, a friend came to my rescue with another prop, which I have yet to paint up. Yes, the canopy is masked with Scotch tape. It has since been removed. More pics when finished.... may take me a week, as life gets in the way..... you know how it is.
This morning before work, I airbrushed Reefer White on my replacement prop, followed by brush painting the prop boss in Testor's Red (the little bottle). Then I woked 10 hours OT. But the prop is getting there.... plane close to finished.
Here's a couple of shots of my P47, I'm trying to improve my camera work on extreme close up shots of my different kits, when I get that figured out I would like to submit step-by-step builds, I have a few kits on the go right now
