Great stuff by the pilot. How do pilots train for that on a simulator or actually in the plane?

Don't quote me on it but I don't think they'd use a real multi-million dollar jet to train for an emergency.

I saw alot of comments (where the vid was posted) where the people thought he was an idiot for bringing it in.

On the contrary, he could have punched out any time, but he was over population and there's no telling where the bird would have ended up.

He did a remarkable job all the way around

He did a amazing job bringing the plane back.

They do use simulators to train for all types of different problems that they might encounter. One its cheaper to use, and he can continue to practice it over and over till he gets it right, Two they would by no means do it in real life,due to saftey of the crew, plane and any possible population that they might be flying over.
