One of my projects is the "A-11" flown by Shoichi Sugita early in April 1945 with 16 victories marking on the both sides of the fuselage.
Some sources say that the victories were added to motivate staff of the unit. But, regarding the Sugita's aircraft, I don't know if the victories marking was added before or after his death in combat the 15 April. After Sugita's death, "A-11" was flown by Lt M. Matsumara...
