I do really like that new look. I am planning on doing that with the 196 AFTER the GB is completed.

Well we got a little futher. Seem I needed to buy a new Kingfisher to get the tail stips correct, the decals are in the new release off the kit. The rest I am putting together from where ever I can find them. Insignias coming out of a Hobby Boss F3F-3 and the Texas from Caracal F-101B Voodoo, the numbers coming from a picemill of number sets.

Coming along nicely Don. Shouldn't be a problem painting the tail stripes. An easy way I did on a T-6 Texan was to measure the tail and cut strips of equal width masking tape, remove every second one, then paint the red sections.

Yeah, I echo what Wayne said. Get a 4 x 4 ceramic tile at Home Depot for under a buck, use that to stick the tape onto and get out the ruler, a nice fresh blade and cut your own. I have been burned too often on decals like that and those annoying as hell fuselage stripes on most Luftwaffe birds (aka the Ar 196). I used to always paint these things and I will do so from here on in.
