It did till I noticed the multiple exhaust stacks :cry:
I had to fit one side before I glued the fuselages together and I went by the decal drawings. Iam not sure if I can swap it now.
Thanks for going to the trouble of scanning the photo it will help no end.
I found this one on the net but its not A53-13, so with both photos I'll have to come up with a way to mask the wavey edge

Quick update, put some paint on and attempted to do some wavey lines where the top and bottom colours meet.
a few touch ups look like they are required.

Thanks Guys

I am on holidays at the moment so I got a little more done today.
Decals have gone on ok without any hiccups, added the wing walkways and started to debate what stencels to apply, not that I have a huge choice.
As these planes were on loan from the US Army Air Force and had been repainted while in RAAF service I wonder wether they would have bothered to reapplied all the stencils :?:

That looks great, the Airacobra really had a fine look to it.
