Thanks guys. Decalling now finished. Needs the radio line trimed and the hard coat applied. I was dismayed to find last night that the model is not ballnced correctly...not enough nose weight. I might correct this by permanently attachng the dolly to the floats and putting a ton of weight on the underside of the dolly, where it cant be seen. i already put a heap of lead into the front cowling but is not enough. I should have used the floats as well i guess. These things just have a ton of tail weight for some reason.

i had a bit of a mishap last night but fixed now. The starbord side leading edge flash markings (the yellow stuff), decided to lift. Its a testament to the quality of the decal however, that it lifted off like a stiff piece of board. I attacked this problem by mixing a drop or two of PVA onto the undersurface of the decal and then re-wetting the decal, to soften it and then placed it back on the model. was okay as of COB last night. So far its holding. I have to apply a clear coat over the top, not sure whether to use gloss or semigloss, tending toward semigloss.

The PBY is waiting for the same, but should be able to finish and subbmit final shots by Saturday

so here are the 'done shots' which i will posat into my "finished shot" thread in a minute

yeah, im happy, though i still have a balance issue which i will solve on a permanent basis post GB. this is a very nice kit i can say, and would recommend for both beginner and veteran alike. You can do the basic build, like me, and get a good result. you could also do a lot with this kit because it all goes together so nicely
