mainly the one with the yellow nose, but i'm not sure about what colour to use in that area, as Erich and wayne are doubtfull about the actual colour of what is clearly a lightned area on the pics wayne posted on page 1.
also going with the different rudder colours which can be seen on the same pics
my days off are here, so i'm going to try and start this kit.
i'm still not sure what colour to paint the fusalage sides so have a look at these and see what you guys think
colurs are
1: ohcre brown revell
2: sandy yellow revell
3: tan humbrol
4 US tan humbrol
any other suggestions would be welcome but remember i will be brush painting the model
Karl, to be honest non of these colours you posted should be use.But Her you are the RLM81 and RLM82 patterns.Generaly for RLM81 you can use a mixture of Humbrol 66+98 (160) in 1:1 proportion. But if you don't have these paints try to make the ohcre brown revell darker by adding some black and blue and red.The colour should be brown with violet tonality.Sadly the proportion for the mixture you have to produce yourself.
Non of these colours can be used as the so-caled RLM99.If you want the one it is better to use Duck Egg Blue - Humbrol 23 or Sky type S - Humbrol90. To both of them you can add a drop of yellow if you want.
No problem Karl.
You can use a coulur like this on the D-9 and the pattern I did for you.
If you are going to make a wash on the model you can make it a little bit lighter because dirt, sunlight , oil spots etc... made the colour darker.
You are welcome Karl.
For sure these Humbrol 23 and 90 are very close to the RLM colour.Especially the no.23.But remember about the scale effect. For 1/72 scale colours have to be slightly lighter than for 1/48 one for instance.
