Thanks guys it's much appreciated!

I did a lot of detail work today and almost finished.

Pictures 1-3) Gun sight. I modified the clear kit part by cutting off the ridiculously thick reflector glass and polishing the lens area. I painted it leaving the lens and the bottom unpainted, that way you can see light coming through from the bottom and it looks like it's lit up. I finished it off with reflector glass cut from thin clear plastic sheet.

Picture 4) The windscreen installed.

Pictures 5-8 ) The exhaust stacks were supplied as 12 separate Items. What a pain in the a$$!! A lot of time spent cleaning up the sprue attachment points , painting and installing them. Turned out pretty good, and the best part is that I didn't drop any of them!

Pictures 9 10 More details. The navigation lights, 6 in all counting the 2 clear ones on the tail, and so small you could hardly see them. The back sides of the red and green ones were painted and installed with clear plastic cement. Also shown is the PE rudder actuator.

Pictures 11-15) Here she is almost done. Just a few more details I'll finish up tomorrow and then the final pictures.

It's finally finished! This kit had a lot of unexpected problems but it came out fine in the end. The last couple pictures are it with the rest of my P-40 collection built from high school to the present.
