Thanks guys. The port wing is about an hour's work. I've learned to put just a tiny amount of paint in the cup.

Thanks guys. Might need to go back and add a few loops to these worms after looking at photos.

I hate to say this as it has become way to cliche BUT OMG! I cried jut looking at it. That is incredible Andy! and the time it take to shoot clean and shoot again. I'm sorry but it is beautiful.

I'm in a bit of a funk on this one. The thing with these patterns is that I tend to get different results in different paint sessions. As it's impossible for me to do all this in one go, the starboard wing wave pattern was looking different to the port wing, at least to my eye. The waves were too big, more conducive to 1/32 scale. In trying to correct it by adding a few more squiggles, I think I messed it all up and I'm now thinking that I will need to redo the wings, starting from scratch.

Pausing for now and will report back if and when my mojo is back.

The last vestiges of the wing pattern have been swallowed up with a fresh application of 70/71. Before covering it completely, I thought I had better get a shot of the rejected pattern before it's gone forever. Note how the waves still can be seen under the 71. This is not the colour showing through but simply a difference in the sheen since the waves were matte and the underlying green was gloss. This should disappear with the new waves and a final clear coat.

Ready for attempt number two which I will get on with tonight. The fuselage is acceptable with a few more tweaks.

Thanks guys. I got a little done last night but I had to stop. It was raining buckets outside and 10C so I was getting water forming in my airbrush hose downstream of the trap. Doesn't happen very often in these parts as it's typically quite dry.
