Not so fast Hugh, I haven't worked on the thing for a month! But now I have:

The framing mentioned above was added to the upper canopy piece. I checked and there was enough clearance to prevent interference with the fit so all is good. The frames are made of styrene rod and is still slightly over scale, despite being very thin. Anyway, it should give the effect I'm looking for.

I still need to paint the interior framing RLM02 and add a few more small details before buttoning this up. The big circular moulding in this piece are designed to pinch the main wings in place and a dry fit reveals that these are very precisely located. The wings almost snap on with no visible gaps. Incredible engineering on this kit (except for that seam line by the leading edge of the flaps that I alluded to earlier).

I next slapped on the tailplanes and the supporting struts. The gap between the tailplanes and the fuselage is supposed to be there.

That's it for now. Hope to keep some momentum going but the weather is great.....

Andy you simply are amazing! that is some of the best work I have ever seen. I' be in the loony bin, (not far from it now) if I'd tried that paint scheme!

Interior framing done in 02. The straight frames in the center are done by cutting strips of painted Scotch tape and the rest were painted by hand with a mascara brush.
