So after a bit or more of whiksey....... came up with this!!!! A rather convoluted solution fer sure.
First I cut out all the tab holes..... they were too narrow and too short.
Had to trim the tabs so they were a loose fit. The were a nuisance anyway.
Then shaping chunks of PVC, marked to lowest spot before locating blocks,
to a wedge shape to fit and glued at bottom of blocks only.
When dry use thin sheet to lift the top piece where it was Not glued to close gap.
this is the result before gluing. Had to do some reshaping if the tail hook
block under engine exhaust as well being careful not to F it up!
There went a few hours of work! Now back to the arbor in the garden!
And it goes on.........
Next, the gun barrels are bigger than the holes for them in the nose, drill out to 1.5mm!
Then the elevators. The pivot pins are smaller than the mounting holes. Had to plug them with a PVC tube then drill out to fit the pin snug.
