This will be one of the first, as per the pdf, from the USS WASP.
Painted the controversial BLUE upper to cover the factory camo.
As shown, no codes, this plane went to 126 Sqn, Malta.
I didn't unwrap the kit, by now everyone knows what Trees look like!

Spits reigning supreme at the moment. Nice choice Bill and "YES" it was the 1st yesterday (still today for some of you!). :D

Motoring along with the Office......
However I just noticed in reviewing the photos I have.........
No under-wing roundels??????
Under wing roundels were introduced in 1940
and Black spinner....... very early Mk.VbT
I wonder if the Starboard wing underside was black?
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

From "Production" list is R7262 as first Mk.Vb, AA922 as first Mk.VbT, and EP257
I hope all this is correct.

Actually the Spitfire wore the RAF markings introduced in 1942. The roundels C and C1 and the fin flash had the white field reduced. IMHO the lack of the underwing roundels has nothing in common with the markings used in 1940 and earlier. Regarding the black starboard wing ... just the wing half can be seen in the image. I can't see any black there.
