Thanks guys, hope to get some more done today, visitors permitting. They leave tomorrow, but then a second invasion force arrives Monday morning, it's a constant run to and from the airport.

I have just gone through the thread from beginning to the last post again. I have found it so interesting I did have to do that.

I've just looked through the whole thread as I'm fairly fascinated with the Ju-87G tank killers, almost like a kind of pre-decessor to the A10. One will be on my list of aquisitions for later this year or next.

Your work so far looks good. I'll look forward to seeing your progress, which has the prospect of looking superb when completed particularly with the Verlinden engine kit incorporated and on display.

I showed the the arachnid to the missus; she shuddered and went pale, so I've got to make her some tea now.
 
Thanks guys, much appreciated and very motivating. Am close to the painting now and just deciding how to tackle it as this machine has a lot of yellow markings including the under wing tips. Other markings are in decal form so am contemplating spraying these on for colour matching. Just have to do lots of masking first. No pics as yet, have visitors to take care of.

 
Sh*t no, all they want to do is talk and eat the great food I make. Tomorrows lot may decide to visit the War Memorial which would suit me, I'll just spend the day photographing aircraft bits.

 

Just noticed you're a Leeds man, t'was me old stompin ground. Trust t'tea were proper Yorkshire brew, right thick. My kids, if'n I can still call em that, live locally, Wakefield and Kirkbymoorside.

I've also got an A-10, 1:32 scale tucked away somewhere in this forum

I can relate to that Alex, it's a long drive down to Melbourne ad gave it up years ago. Flying is my thing now.

I've not given up and have been putting as much time in as time permits. Spent the last couple of days spraying the underside only to find I've used to dark a colour, then discovered I didn't have the right colour, so popped out to get it (Humbrol). You've guessed it, colour in the pot is nothing like the colour required so have had to improvise, re-spraying in the 44C heat of my shed. Also snapped the very delicate cockpit mounted aerial but may have turned this to my advantage and be able to rig an aerial to tail wire. Also been hand painting the cockpit canopy parts, wasn't able to mask as they were to small and fiddly in detail. seemed to take forever. May get some pic's up tomorrow. God it's hot here, it's 10:00PM here and still 30+c outside.

 
Geez...Vic.... you can start frying scrambled eggs. I suggest painting models in your fridge.

Anyway I'm very sorry to hear that you have problems with the model painting.
