My wife caught this flattering shot of me enjoying my son's birthday cake.

Stuff from today. I have a 80-400mm zoon lens on loan from a friend for the Chino shoot. So I gave it a little shakedown in the back yard. The weather here is real hazy, as witnessed with the plane shots. These were at a considerable altitude when they came over, but that lens ROCKS! Glad I could borrow it, it's about $1800.

Well, you're a lucky man to have borrowed that objective! Really nice shots.
The cake eating shot is cool, also. You look like Timothy Leary there, LOL. I think Les has a new pic of yourself for the Mug Shots. ;)

How do you do it that your pictures are always so clean? My pictures are usually affected by the air distance, thus they go blueish... Like this one in the att.
Are your pix that clear because the altitude of the planes?

You may want to tweak the brightness and contrast a bit. Also on long shots a little unsharp mask and/or sharpen in photoshop helps. The glass you shoot through will make a tremendous difference though.
