It was a sad moment when I walked by Seamus' hangar today. But I am training my kids to be airport bums and they took to it like fish to water! Over 4 hours there and they didn't want to leave. Here are some shots from the day. The first Sunday of the month at Santa Paula is an open house. For you guys that have been here a while, I announced my daughter's birth here. She's almost 6 now! It took me this long to get her out to an airport and she ate it up. My son has always loved it.

I have to laugh at "airport bums" because that takes me wayyyy back to when I was a kid, haunting the older section of Orange County airport and Chino (especially the old boneyard) while the "grownups" were doing stuff

I have been going to Santa Paula for a few years and hanging out on the first sunday events. There's is a lot of history there and some really nice folks. So us non-pilot types are basically airport bums, but I have the bonus of being able to catch photos of these folks. We all know how shy and quiet pilots can be.
