Shadow? well, it was out of frame....yeah, that's it. It was hard enough to darken the sky in the canopy, I would have been ready for a rubber room if I had done a shadow.

I spent several sessions in the studio yesterday with my daughter and her best friend, the best friend with her mom, the mom, and my kids. All in all, about 400 photos. I need to watch the depth of field better as I had a couple of really great shots that had 2 people in it with one in perfect focus and the other soft. Kind of vexing, but a learning experience anyway. Here are some samples.

Really nice portraits, Eric!

I don't know how my sister does that type of work (she does weddings, events, indoor/outdoor portraits, etc)...because you have to have the lighting just right, and the f/stop cranked up and all that stuff....plus when it comes to youngsters, you pretty much need to velcro them down to get a good shot :/

Did a shoot with some Navions today. Fun airplanes with the most room I have had in an airplane in a LONG time. Here are some samples. I am still going through them.

Thanks Dave. North American made them to keep their engineers busy while waiting on some postwar projects. The design was later sold to Ryan, then to TUSCO. Now a company called Sierra Hotel Aero owns the plans, tooling and rights. As of 2010, they had plans to start making new ones. They are fun to fly, and from a photographers perspective, not bad for photos if you don't mind shooting through the plexiglass.
