I used it on Friday for the flight down and got a few good ones, but really needed the versatility of zooming. As the wingman got closer, I was cutting parts off the airplane. A 35mm might have been better for that. Maybe in the future.

Thanks guys. It was a lot of fun. As much as I enjoy the airplanes (and let's face it, we all do!), its the people flying them that can make a difference in perception. These guys are a great group of guys that are excellent ambassadors to aviation and the T-34.

I just finished my first video last night, got it ripped out to MP4 and posted up to Youtube this morning. Here is the 8-ship formation. No music, just engine noise and a highly annoying stall warning horn. It goes for several seconds at the beginning, and on and off for the rest of the clip, but it gives you a good perspective of flying in formation. Enjoy!

Thanks guys. I'm still going through more video and will probably put together a short montage of everything. Some of the video is cool if you are into flying, some pretty boring (45 minutes of flying straight and level). This one seems a little long to me, but I wanted to share the experience.

Here is a screen grab from a camera mounted on the glare shield pointing at me. Talk about a boring video, 30 minutes looking at me flying and taking photos. But it's great for screen grabs and to show the missus how turbulent it was up there.
