You're going to have troubles there in about 10 years or so, Eric.
I've seen a shirt with the wording:

DADD - Dads against Daughters Dating.
Shoot the first one and word will get around.

I've got to admit, since my boy was born, I look at kids a bit differently, and babies especially.
 
So I had some old camera gear laying around the house and an empty display case. The light bulb went on and I started the VG-Photo museum of photography. There are a number of cameras that I have used over the years that I don't have anymore, but I have already had my first offer of a donation to the museum. Who knows where this could lead.

Seeing how important photography is to me, I couldn't bear to tear one apart. But could see where some of the parts could be useful.

As usual, the city where I live did their annual fireworks on Independence Day Eve, July 3. It gives me a jump on everyone else's firework photos. Tough night to shoot though, the marine layer rolled in and softened the focus for most of the shots. I tried it with the 50mm f/1.8 and while I got some good ones, I realized that shooting aperture priority with the D80 was a big mistake. The inconsistent metering on the D80 is a known issue and I should have stuck with what I know works, shutter priority. Oh well, live and learn. Either way, it was fun.

Thanks guys. I also did some texture, contrast and long exposure experiments while I had the camera out.
