I have some other interests besides airplanes and history.

Among them is gardening and flowers.

My first two pics are of a cactus that I have my front yard that bloomed yesterday.

Each flower bloom is the size of your hand.

Beautiful, Sys - cactus flowers can be incomparable. I raise 6 or 7 and have
kept them going for a decade and 4 relocations, all for the chance to see
something like your photo!

One of my cactus's bloomed this week.

The flowers were incredible.

Nice flowers, Sys. As Pb said not much chance for them where I'm at either. But I am able to grow a few roses although not much else. Didn't know cacti could flower like that. Nice!

My "night blooming" cactus is showing off right now.

First four of about 30 flowers have opened. These bloom for a single night and begin to wilt in the morning.

They're also huge.... almost 9" wide, tip to tip.

Those are very nice pic's of some beautiful cacti. Well done. I'm into
Japanese maples, both the cultivar (true named JM's) and the generic
(seed grown) variety. The true Japanese maple is grafted, and I am
learning to graft, altho not doing too well. I grafted 36 in July and 11
look like they will make it. Not a good average ! Show you my pic's
soon.
