Geo, the FRIX often had a 'rain deflector' around the front sector of the camera port, which was just a shallow rim. Camera control was mounted on the port wall, above the throttle as far as I remember (mounted where the gun sight would be on proper PR versions). Have a look at Darryl's thread on his 1:1 cockpit, as it shows the controller and the various mounting positions.
