Yep Me too, 163 wise.
Bill, I am not sure what a "whinger" is, because I am not familiar with "Aussie" slang, but I am sure that if you were one, you would be the best one there ever was!
I only wish my wife was that supporting of me; "living the dream!"
You are my hero, buddy!

Paul,

'Whinge', 'whinged', 'whingeing', 'whinger'…………….to complain, whine.

Bill whinge……………………….never, he's just chatty…………………..ain't ya Bill.

I thought he meant.....

Now Paul......
that sounds a little like whinging to me.

When I was 50, I was out of work, struggling to find a job in the SF bay area. I had taken out a fed loan for $10,000.00 to go to a trade school.
I was literally laughed at during interviews, by snot nosed 20 year olds who thought I was too old to breath the air they needed. And the older guys who wanted cheap 19 year old kids for the work. Weather they could do it or not, counted for nothing.

I digress

Ian what bill means by "whinger" is a person who complains or protests, especially in an annoying or persistent manner.(that's a dictionary definition) sorry a bit late on this one didn't read all the other posts.

Looks like you have hit the nail on the head here Igor, according to Wilkipedia this flying wing first flew in March 1944, though I believe it may have only been gliding and crashed on landing. The second prototype took to the air in December same year under it's own power and this again was damaged on landing. Sadly the third flight in February 1945 ended in disaster when one of the engines caught fire and the wing eventually crashing.

Perfect Vic :D I picked her up today :D since she needs a good home, now less buying and more building :D

the 3rd flight (I think it was while she was on her last flight) was flown against a Me-262 and it outperformed the 262. Just after the mock dog fight the fighter crashed :S

Ooh my, my He-162 has been staring at me in the face all this time :D I have to start the "Russian Volksjager" too :D hehe so there 2 kits :D very nice :D
