Just remembered that I had a few I had been messing around with a while back. I'll post one for now.
Here's the scenario:
A couple B-25s accompanying your lone B-17. All of a sudden, some A6M3 Zeros jump your flight, but the gunners are earning thier pay. You just happen to have your camera handy, and you snap a shot the moment an attacking Zero gets tagged by the tail gunners. You make it to your destination, have the film developed and there it is, the money shot!
At least that sounds a little more exciting then admitting that you combined three different photos:
1) The waist position aboard the B-17 "Aluminum Overcast".
2) The B-25 "Pacific Prowler" and the A6M3 out of Camarillo during an airshow demonstration.
3) And a cloud photo of summer thunderheads taken a few years back.
