Now we get to one of the main reasons I wanted to visit Wellington, Te PaPa the national museum of New Zealand. They had one particular exhibition on Galipoli in association with Weta Workshop (guys behind costumes and CGI on Lord of the Rings and the Hobbit among others). Charts the stories of 5 New Zealanders during the campaign. I thought it was amazing (I think I went through 4/5 times in the time I was in Wellington). First set provide an overview of the display and the background of New Zealand in Galipoli.

Very educational, Hugh.
Thanks for sharing !

BTW, are you in Vietnam now ??
Sorry if I'm wrong

Moving on to the main part of the exhibition which is 5 dioramas feature 2.4x lifesize people which are amazing in their detail. First one is Lieutenant Spencer Westamacott - full background on the website: Gallipoli: The scale of our war

Last picture is a diorama of the trench system.

Currently in Thailand doing the Burma-Siam Death railway but was in Vietnam last week, pictures to follow in due course.

WOW, those are terrific diaramas. I think Madam Trousou (spelling?) would be impressed with the life like figures.
