Glad everyone enjoyed the shots. Next time we go up, I'm going to try a UV filter to see if I can get rid of some of that haze that seems to be ever-present in the north state nowdays

Shinpachi has been posting some awesome shots of temples and such in his thread, so I thought I'd post a couple photos of some Japanese Gardens that are up in Washington State. These two photos were taken by a close friend of mine back in 2004, a couple years before he passed away. He used to visit these gardens often, and thought of them as his "alternate dojo".

Wow, what fantastic photos they are, GG!
I have been seeing them through your friend's eyes.

Here is the dedicating words and image with my condolences to him and his family...

When you put hands together and pray God with "Jijo-goi(Please make my soul clear)" in front of the preaching wheel Ten-Poh-Lin, it leads you to the state of attaining a perfect serenity of mind.

Thanks.

Dang...am I a slacker, or what??

Let's blow the dust off this thread and get caught up.

Last spring, Aluminum Overcast came to Redding Municipal Airport (RDD) and I dropped by to grab some photos. The next day, my friend gave me a call at work and said if I could get down to the airport, I could catch a ride since they had a cancellation...well, I think I broke all land-speed records getting down there. When I got there, I grabbed my camera and away we went...only problem was, I had the wrong lens!! So I did the best I could with the 50-150 (I should have had my 18-55 for this) so hope everyone enjoys the view

Here she was the afternoon before the ride, sitting on the ramp

Nice view to Starboard

Nice view to Port...that's the city of Redding in the background

Down in the nose, looking ahead with Mount Shasta in the distance

The guys up in the office

The gear at the radio station

I was keeping an eye out for a Me410 packing a Bk37...you just never know...
