thanks guys, this is only my second serious attempt at a 1:48 a/c, as far as 'good' info, it the combined minds of everybody envolved to kickstart the ole' grey matter lol.

Didn't get much done today.. I just don't understand how some of you guys can get your 1:48 pilots/groundcrew to realistic looking. Any tips would be most appreciated!

Don't try to paint the whites of the eyes. Use flat paint. Use a very small brush. Vary the colours on the clothing by applying a base colour then a slightly lightened version of the same colour on the peaks of the folds and a darker version in the valleys.

Failing that, have you found a color drawing that you will use (substituting Bartel's markings)?
