Hello Guys,

Here is my current project.

Lets to kit:

The box comes with two kits, on Ki-44 the post about it is here
, this box was released on 1995 to Celebrate te 50 years to end of WWII

The idea about these little diorama, is to make the Raiden, crash landed on a beach in some place on the Pacific, this will be my first job on these subjects.

I did small holes on the fuselage, to simulate the enemy machine guns shots

I cut away the ailerons an the elevator, to put in a more real position

I cover the model with Tamiya Chrome t help on wheatering

The Micro Sol an Micro Set, helps a lot to aply decals, the result is paint like...

I start to build the diorama base, so I did some Coconuts Trees

I use Piano wire 1/16" and Tamiya masking tape to make the thr trunk.

So with Tamiya XF-52 and a weathering the result was this:

The leafs I did with paper, I don´t know how these,paper is called in English, here in Brazil we call it Papel Vegetal, it was used to thechnical drawings.

The tips of the trunks I did with epoxy and the coconuts too

Each Coconut Tree have around 3,5" and 4" tall, and the leafs about 1".

So, as it is difficult to control the curiosity I made a dry fit.

I did the base with plaster, and with the model on plastic film, I did the marks.

Now I´m thinking on a possibility to add some litlle Corsairs too....

In time a friend tell me the paper name that I used to make the Palm Trees, on the USA it is called Vellum and could be get on roll or sheet by Hobby Lobby....

I did a damage to the prop too ( I do not do the weathering yet)

The pilot on the plane ( I put it by side, to simulate that him was injuried trying to escape of the plane)

The base is almost done, I put the Palm Trees (not all yet) and add some sand, and grass, I add too a abandoned boat.

Simply ace my friend.. making me want to do 1/144 scale just to make nice little dioramas. Keep going, eyes locked on this.
