'D' batteries do not exist.

We've been deployed starting 1pm tommorrow to some local shelters to set up with the Red Cross our Animal Response Team trailer. New Jersey and Delaware have declared a state of emergency. The casinos in Atlantic City are closed for the first time in history. Supposed to make landfall on the Jersey coast anywhere between Long Beach Island and Cape May and head for my house!

We've having lots of rain and high winds, here at Va. Beach. I've got everything secured outside as best I can. The bottom is falling out of the barometer, it's down to 29.47 inches. After it makes it's left turn (towards NJ) it will be worse. We'll be in the lower left quadrant, and right now that's the bad spot.

Its probably a bit late for this shindig, but if y'all don't already, following some of the advice of "preppers" probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Keep at least a week, maybe two, worth of food, water, fuel, propane, first aid supplies, etc on hand, avoid all the panicky last-minute oh-holy-crap shoppers. Stay safe, stay dry!
