No electricity since 3:00PM Monday...

Got through Sandy relatively unscathed. Lost power last Monday at 5:30 PM, just got it back today.

No damage to home, property or vehicles and all family members are safe.

But lot's of people at the Jersey Shore lost much and some were wiped out.

My family was very fortunate.

I apparently am not getting power back till Saturday which will be 12 days and tonight were hitting a low of 25!!

That's what we get for living in the middle of nowhere

Today we had an electrical fire and I was wishing I had electricity to burn....

We have no source of heat minus the fireplace, our generator is at my grandmas because she make a stink about the good in her fridge so we relented and gave it to her.

I'm at a Starbucks right now on wifi but it's gonna be another cold one!

Mankind survived for many a year with nothing fancier than a fireplace. Think of it as a camping trip, or a test-run for the Zombie alpaca-lypse. Glad to hear all are doing okay, though!

I hope not its just really snowy right now, hoping the winds aren't gusty. If power is lost now we probably won't get it back for a VERY long time
