Imalko, I don't know about the IK-2, but it sure did look very similar in configuration. As far as the IAR 80, the predecessor of the IAR 81, it did utilize part of the fuselage and had the same tailplane of the PZL-24, with a new wing and rectractable main gear. And WERTTREW, nice models and I especially like the weathering on the Yak-1 (Jak-1). Good work! Wurger, good work also. Like vikingBerserker, I've always liked those gullwinged PZL's. (Nice Los, too.)

Yes you are right. During the pre-war period the Puławski's fighters with his wing became very interestiing for its advantages.So no wonder that many designers tried to use the wing kind , in France Loire 46 , in Czechoslovakia Aero 102, in Russia I-153 for instance.However none of these achieved the same results.Also Polish offer was the cheaper alternative to these English and French aircraft..Especially for countries on Balkans I mean Romania, Hungary, Yougoslavia and Grece.What is more PZL offred a possibility of a licence to building the P-wing planes.That's way a few countries there could make a nice development to their aviation industry.

Concerning the PZL P-24 improvement, I don't think IAR 80/81 were this one.Simply they used a few parts of P-24 as these were already assembled by their factories and designers knew the structure well.Anyway the IAR fighters were much better than the P-24.I thought it might have been a surprise for Luftwaffe in September 1939 if Polish Fighter Squadrons would use them instead of P-11c.

Early on when I joined the forum I had debate with Lesofprimus about Ju 87G (I don't remember in which thread exactly) where he challenged me to provide the picture of Stuka fitted with both 37mm cannons and bombs... Well finally I found one right here...

Sorry Maestro but clicking the first pic and then closing its window I was redirected to a porno site. If it will happen to other members I have to delete these URL addresses.I suggest uploading pics onto the server directly using Manage Attachments option in Post Thread/Post Replay etc menu.

Here is my latest model kit... At first I wanted to make Adolf Galland's Bf-109F, but looks like he is somehow black-listed by decals companies... Couldn't find any decals for his plane in 1/48.

So I decided to make a plane from a fake squadron/pilot. I still like the results, though.

P.S. Airfix kits are great, but their decals aren't so great. Some of them slightly lifted from the kit when I applied the varnish... Although I waited over 24 hours after applying the decals before applying varnish.
