Chr!st that cannons huge

It sure is and it would have been a shame to lock it into the model as was intended

[lesofprimus]

The entire fuselage was designed AROUND the gun installation.... That in and of itself makes me love this plane more than any other....

Would NOT want to be receiving incoming from an A-10!!! That is one awesome weapons platform.

Yep, could really spoil your day when out having a picnic ! Sneaky little blighters too, as you can't hear them coming.

Here's a couple from the workbench. They've both been in progress for a while now. The eyes are going so most of my models wait for a good day for the canopy work. I've finished six now in the last two weeks but started them probably two months ago. I'm decaling a T-34C Turbo Mentor that's been sitting for over a year waiting. The Do-215 is a conversion of the old monogram 1/72 Do-17Z with scratcbuilt engines and lower forward fuselage. The Su-9 is a Cooperativa kit from the shelf, all cleaned up, and the Su-9U is from A-Model both to 1/72.

Really great models you got there mate. Nice to see some models of Soviet jets. Not much of that around here, since the main focus of interest for most people here (myself included) are the warbirds of WW2 era...

Like the Do-215 also. Great work on the camouflage.
