You know Carlos with so many of these birds still flying and schematics out there you think the engineers could some of these right maybe not all but some.Cool catch in the pic with the spinner and exhaust it appears many others might of gotten it wrong.I had started the TRUMP 1/24 P-51 and talk about some stuff left out and just outright fantasy.This is about as far as I got need a better engine but the oil tank and all between the braces was scratched.Cheers Kevin

Here's a couple US Navy research aircraft . These are from before NASA took over the x-plane program.The D588-1,Skystreak (red) was a high speed jet aircraft and the D558-2 Skyrocket (white) was a composite powered jet and rocket powered aircraft. Both models are 1/72 scale and are from Special Hobby.

My dad spent 25 years in Naval aviation.He worked on a lot of the experimental stuff at Pax River.I grew up on Navy bases and have always been around new and weird types.My collection started out as US Navy but has branched out a bit through the years. As a modeller I look for the unusual.

This build started out as a what-if, but I wasn't happy with the kit, so I stuck the kit decals for the USAAF on instead. It's not historically accurate at all, it should have a yellow spinner and wheel hubs and no sharkmouth.

I'm calling this one a practice run for the what-if P-40

No outdoor pics today I'm afraid, it was pretty stormy all afternoon!

Here's a good idea of what I think is unusual. DH-89 Dragon Rapide in US markings.Had to do It ! Heller kit 1/72 scale.
