Sorry , just got to share this.
My 8 year old son has been making and selling cordials at local markets for the last couple of years, and has started to get really serious about it in the last 12 months or so, and has really ramped up production to the point of around $200 per market.
Well, about a month ago, he was on the front page of the local paper, and so came to the attention of the local Council, who were in contact because he really should have a food supplier registration. So, what did he do? went out and got it, and we picked up his certificate yesterday. The only problem is, now he's got ideas of even more growth!

That is fantastic gumbyk! You have every right to be proud and to brag about your boy. If your smart you'll get in on the ground floor of his operations. Best wishes and good luck to your son's enterprises!

Good for him!!!! I'm assuming there's another meaning for cordials other than booze?
Yeah - concentrated fruit drink, with a ton of sugar in it!

The funny thing is, it's a legal registration that had to be done in his name, so if anything goes wrong, he's the one who has to answer for it. Not too sure how that will work out though, hopefully we never find out.

Well, he's just got his first cafe customer!
And making plans for a stall at the big Christmas market.

Looks like we're going to be making lots more cordial...
Time to start teaching him about fixed and overhead costs. Let him figure out how many he has to sell to pay for the stall.
