Thanks Terry for your message.
I will study everything very carefully when I will be ready start, but first I have to receive the box from China!
About the tyres, I already ordered resin ones made by Grey Matter on Jerry Ruthman design. From the same I also order correct propeller blades hubs.
Yes it is a lot of plastic and the bird will come out quite big for the space I have available, wing span is 19.5 inches, but I will find a solution, I'm sure!
Alberto.

You must be running out of display space by now my friend - I know I am! The Grey Matter products are good - I've got some stuff from them ready for conversions.

Yip! 25 quid on ebay! My E-1 has a sister!

Picked up these two at the LHS during my lunch hour today. I over paid compared to buying them on-line but you just gotta support the little guy some times, and besides I'm in an extremely good mood today!

Didn't know anybody made a kit of the XP-79. How does it look Jim? I might have to look into picking one up. It would look great on my 1/72 shelf sitting between these two.

Good catch Jim, more unusual types for your stash. And you're right - that compressor does look a bit like a Lotfe !
Nice one Jan old boy - you must be getting rather cramped in your flat now, with all those kit boxes! Every cupboard and shelf I have, plus various areas of floor space, have suddenly filled up recently - don't know why ...

I haven't opened it yet, but it looks like this:

.: RS Models.cz >> Rýma?ov >> CZ

And YES it would look great between those two! Great work!

Interesting purchase.

Getting worried that my Squadron order for the Eduard Fw190 and various decal sheets has not been shipped yet. Its been a week and they are usually very prompt at sending a shipping note.

Looks pretty nice. It's has to be a tiny little sucker though.

The last order I got from Squadron took at least a couple of weeks or more to get to me. I was about to contact them about it when it showed up.

It felt like I drank 'T Stoff' Terry, I tell you!

Not recently. If you remember what you mean after you're off the drugs, let me know!

Any how what I mean about Squadron is the following, all of which I have noticed lately: A missing item in a recent shipment, which was bad enough, but instead of making good with a replacement item or refunding the money they gave me a credit! Also, no back orders any more. Used to be that you could get that even on sale items. IIRC Too many gimicky short term or time based sales. And, now I have no proof of this, but I swear they have like zero stock on any of the good sale items. IIRC Like I said, they used to honor sale prices on back ordered items. Weird.

Hmmmm. I ordered a whole pile of books from them a few months back and everything was fine. E-mailed confirmation of shipment was within a couple of days of the order. I've always experienced good service from them and hope there has not been a turn for the worse.

I hope everything's OK with them too, and that any recent problems are just a result of something like reoragnisation, or a less than competent staff member.
From what I know and have seen over the years, Squadron are (almost) the North American equivalent of Hannant's, and I remember being impressed with the ads they used to have in modelling magazines 30 odd years and more ago, with photos of the shop they then had in New York. In those days of mail order, without the benefit of the Internet and being able to instantly see the product, and having to rely on un-illustrated, printed catalogues from Hannant's or Squadron, to be able to see photos of such an Alladin's cave was very exciting.
I'd hate to see them in trouble, so let's hope things get back to normal.
